Principal Licensure
Emily has worked in the field of education since 2007 and has taught all levels of students at the K-12 and higher education level. She currently works as an Assistant Professor in the School of Education, running the educational leadership graduate licensure program. Emily began her career as a K-5 elementary school teacher before transitioning to teaching middle and high school English. She has also developed curriculum, presented at national conferences and is certified in elementary education, as a middle and high school English teacher, gifted teacher, special education teacher, AP English teacher, early childhood preschool director and school principal.
Following her classroom career, Emily served as a national professional development training specialist, consulting and advising teachers, and then as an assistant principal and school principal. Emily has experience in traditional brick and mortar schools, blended schools and online/digital schools. She holds a Bachelor's degree in psychology and education, two Master's degrees, one in learning and technology and another in educational leadership, and holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership.
